Why Use Hari Keshri Oil for Shahi Paneer?

  1. It has a neutral, clean taste that doesn’t overpower spices

  4. Crafted for everyday Indian cooking with consistent quality

Step-by-Step Shahi Paneer Recipe

Step 1: Prepare the Base

Heat Hari Keshri Oil in a heavy pan on medium flame. Add bay leaf, cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon. Let them release their aroma — this is the foundation of Shahi flavor.

Step 2: Onion–Tomato Masala

Add chopped onions and sauté until soft and lightly golden. Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilli. Cook until the raw smell disappears.

Now add tomatoes and soaked cashews. Cook until tomatoes soften completely. Let this mixture cool, then blend into a smooth, creamy paste.

Step 3: Create the Shahi Gravy

Heat the pan again with a little Hari Keshri Oil and optional butter. Pour in the blended paste and cook on low flame until oil begins to separate.

Add turmeric, coriander powder, Kashmiri chilli powder, salt, and a pinch of sugar. Stir gently.

Step 4: Add Paneer & Cream

Add paneer cubes and mix softly to avoid breaking them. Pour milk to adjust thickness. Add fresh cream and simmer for 3–4 minutes.

Finish with garam masala and crushed kasuri methi.

Serving Suggestions

  1. Serve hot with naan, butter roti, or jeera rice
  2. Pair with onion salad and lemon wedges
  3. Best enjoyed fresh for that authentic Shahi taste

Chef’s Tip

For extra softness, soak paneer cubes in warm water for 10 minutes before adding them to the gravy. Cooking in Hari Keshri Oil ensures the dish remains rich yet balanced — perfect even for regular meals.
